Coral Springs, FL — The City of Coral Springs confirmed on their website that local emergency responders answered a call at 10:19 a.m. on the day after a twin-engine Beechcraft King Air B100 crashed into a pond behind a home in the Windsor Bay community. According to government reports, the crash occurred just minutes after taking off from Fort Lauderdale Executive Airport. Its destination was Montego Bay, Jamaica, where the victims planned to deliver hurricane relief supplies.

The deceased were Alexander Wurm, 53, founder of the evangelical group Ignite the Fire, and his daughter Serena Wurm, 22, as identified in a tribute post on the organization’s social media page.

Government officials confirm that no homes sustained major structural damage, though fences and trees were impacted. Residents reported a strong fuel odor lingering in the area, prompting city officials to advise staying indoors with doors closed.

Surveillance camera footage captured the point of impact, as seen in a video posted by WPLG Local 10 News.

As of Nov. 11, all surrounding roads have reopened, though access to Windsor Bay remains restricted. Cleanup and recovery efforts continue, and the FAA and NTSB are leading the investigation.
